(main vehicle entrace at intersection of Garmantown Pike and North Wales Road.

Event Times:

5-6:30:     Team packet pick-up, race night registration, company gathering at
Pavillions 1 and 2. Just follow the signs to the Pavillions.

6:30-7:30:    5k run/walk on the Farm Center 5k loop which is entirely within the confines of Norristown Farm Park.

7:30-9:00:     Post-race party and awards at Pavillions 1 and 2.

Event Parking:

Plenty of parking at the main Pavillion 1 and 2 lot and in the adjoining overflow lot.

Event Staging:

The pre-race activities (packet and swag pick-up, race night registration, company gathering etc) will take place at Pavillions 1 and 2. The post-race party featuring pizza, beer and music will be held there as well. Plenty of picnic and banquet table seating will be available for all teams and team members.

Company Team Packet Pick-up:

All racer packets are distributed through the team captain or a designee. We will hand you an envelope containing your entire team’s bibs. Every team member will get a bib with their name on it. If you are being timed, the bib will contain a chip on the back, if you are not being timed, it won’t. Everybody must wear their racer bib during the run/walk regardless of timing status. Runners start in the front segregated by their mile pace, walkers in the back. If we have your phone number or email address, you will receive your bib number on race day.

Race Course:

The 5k will take place on the very popular Farm Center 5k Loop course with the start/finish at Pavillions 1 and 2.

Race Night Food and Beverages

Everybody will get free beer, free pizza and free chocolate chip cookies. However, for companies that want to do something a bit more elaborate with regards to race night food and beverages, you are welcome to cater your own company picnic, We will provide comfortable picnic and banquet table seating for your entire team.

DJ and Photographer

We will have a DJ playing music from event start to finish and an event photographer taking team and individual photos. Make sure you get your team photos at some point during the night. The photos will be emailed out in downloadable form within a few days after the race.

Awards

Awards will be held at around 8 p.m.. The top three timed male and female finishers will score for each team. The individual awards are male (1-2-3) and female (1-2-3). We also have a trophy for the largest team and a trophy for the team with the best tee shirt.

Company Team Payment

For company pay teams, you will receive an invoice on Tuesday morning August 13th for all team members registered as of that date. The preferred method of payment is over the phone by credit card ideally on Tuesday but if not on Wednesday. You will get an electronic receipt immediately upon payment processing. Please call Bruce Pienkny at (347) 844-9687 to make payment. Bringing a check to the race is also fine but kindly let us know in advance. What about late entrants?

Inevitably, some people may want to join your company team between Tuesday August 13th and Thursday race night. Just email us their first name, last name and gender and we will add their bib to your team packet.

Is Race Day Registration Available?

Yes, race day registration will be available on race night. Anybody who wants to join their team on race day can either pay by check/cash/cc if part of an “individual pay” team or be added to the post-race invoice if party of a “company pay” team.

Volunteers

We can always use race night volunteers. If anybody from your company is interested in helping out on race night, it would be tremendously appreciated. Please let us know.

Party and Catering

Our photographer will be taking team and individual photos which of course are free.  Awards at 8 pm for largest team, team with best tee shirt and fastest teams/individuals.

Parking:   

Plenty of free parking on campus at the Health Sciences Center.

Registration Fee:

$45 per team member.

On-Line Registration Deadline:

Friday August 9^th at 5pm

Team Payment Deadline:

Wednesday August 14^th at 5pm

Race Day Registration :

Although discouraged, (please sign up in advance) any team member who misses the on-line registration deadline can show up on race night and join  his or her team as a race night registrant.

We love and greatly appreciate team referrals. Provide us with the contact name at a prospective company and get a $50 gift card if they register.
