Getting there:

VERY EASY to get to from Midtown Manhattan.

Ride/Share or Car: Take Westside Highway to Boat Basin Exit or get off on Broadway or Riverside Drive at West 79th Street and walk 1-2 blocks to entrance of Park.

Subway: Take the “2” express train to West 72nd Street and walk 7 blocks north and 2 short blocks west to park entrance at West 79th Street.

Take the “1” local train to West 79th Street and walk 2 short block west to Riverside Park and West 79th Street park entrance

ONCE IN THE PARK, WALK A FEW HUNDRED YARDS NORTH TO THE STAGING AREA WHICH IS AT THE WEST 81ST STREET PLAYGROUND SECTION OF PARK

Bag Check: We will have an area manned all night by a CFR employee where you can safely leave your bags throughtout the night.

Event Times:

5:00-6:30: Team packet pickup, company gathering
6:30-7:30: 5k run/walk all within Riverside Park
7:30-8:30: Post-race party and awards

Event Staging:

The pre-race activities (packet pick-up, race night registration, company gathering) and post-race party will take place on the section of grass in front of the playground (where bathrooms are) at Riverside Park & West 81st Street. We will have a bunch of picnic blankets set up on the grass for all teams and team members and there is also alot of bench and small table seating available.

Race Course:

The 5k run/walk course takes place entirely within beautiful Riverside Park and will be an “out and back” heading up to West 94th Street. The start/finish lines will be at the event staging area.

Party and Catering

The post-race party featuring free pizza, ziti, cookies and beverages will take place at the West 81st staging area. For companies that want to do something a bit more elaborate on the food and beverage side, you are welcome to cater your own company picnic. We will have live entertainment (an acoppella singing group) and an event photographer.

Awards

We will have awards at around 7:45. We will have a trophy for the largest team and a trophy for the team with the best tee shirt. Plaques for fastest male and female individuals and teams.

Registration Fee:

$48 per team member

On-Line Registration Deadline:

Friday September 9^th at 5 p.m

Team Payment Deadline:

Tuesday September 11^th at 5pm.

Race Day Registration:

People can continue to sign up on line between Wed September 9th and race night. You can also just send us an e-mail with first name, last name and gender of all “stragglers”. Race night registration will also be available.

Team Referrals:

We love and greatly appreciate team referrals. Provide us with the contact name at a prospective company and get a $50 gift card if they register.
